Women------- May Swenson

The poem is a long one, and has an interseting design. I found it on the internet but this blog will not let me paste it and i dont feel competent to type it out. Hopefully your familiar with it. It can be found on page 1006

To May Swenson, this poem is spectacular! Ofcourse I love what it's saying, so true. Women should move to the motions of men...but I picked this poem because of its construction. Concrete Poetry, it's not necessarily a new concept to me, but only in this context have I been inspired to try one myself, which I will complete in class. The layout of the poem, like a shaky zig zag says so much more than the words, and the words say so much more being arrganed in the picture as they are. Good Poem.

I hope to try concrete poetry as I mature and hone my skills as a poet. Whether I'm capable now of constructing one now is yet to be seen. But as soon as possible i will incorporate the look of the words into every piece of writing, and everything shall be as visually appealing as it is cranaly appealing.
